Driving through the beautiful green landscape of Palawan, after an hour we arrive at a lovely off-road trail. Sand, rocks and potholes surrounded by banana plants, palm trees and jungle, and suddenly, the beautiful Duli Beach. This is where the surfers of Palawan chill, and with it the cozy and relaxed atmosphere in small beach shacks. It is a fantastically beautiful elongated beach. The north is completely deserted and empty, the south has some small resorts that give surfing lessons. In the water there are tiny groups of people trying to stand on a board in the clean waves that the sea offers here. Swimming in the beautiful water, I, Miriam, am stung by a blue jellyfish. Nothing serious and the guys in the shack know what to do with it: Coconut vinegar, 'You will be smelly for the rest of the day though.' During lunch we see a large group of people gathering on the south side of the beach: The sea turtles are ready to go to sea and are being released. It is beautiful to see, and at the same time only one percent of these creatures survive. They plod their way to sea, probably for nothing.
This beach is far too big to rake, and you would be better off spending that time surfing, so it is beautifully unspoilt. There are seeds, twigs and pieces of coconut everywhere. The sand itself has a thousand colors of light brown, some white, some black and dark brown. A hodgepodge of origins of stones and shells.
